American soprano India Rowland has been praised for her “full command of the stage and fetching demeanor, combined with a warm timbre has made her a real discovery” (South Florida Classical Review), during her performance of Cherubino with the Miami Music Festival. Other highlights include the roles of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Utah Vocal Arts Academy, Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflote and Zina in Dark Sisters with Mannes Opera, Mary Warren in The Crucible with the Berlin Opera Academy, and First Lady in Die Zauberflote with Manhattan Opera Studio. India is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music. While at Oberlin in 2014 she was named a Young Arts Winner in Classical Voice. During her time at Oberlin in Italy, she sang the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni. India is currently pursuing her Masters of Music at the Mannes School of Music under the tutelage of Darrell Babidge, William Burden & Tony Manoli.
